From Turtle Rock Studios, creators of Left 4 Dead, comes Evolve -- the next generation of multiplayer shooters. Four Hunters face off against a single, player-controlled Monster in adrenaline-pumping 4v1 matches. Play as the Monster to use savage abilities and an animalistic sense to kill your human enemies, or choose one of four Hunter classes (Assault, Trapper, Medic and Support) and team up to take down the beast on the planet Shear, where flora and fauna act as an adversary to man and monster alike. Level up to unlock new Hunter or Monster characters as well as upgrades, skins, and perks. Earn your infamy on the leaderboards and become the apex predator.
Classes :
Assault Class
The assault class has the very simple function of dealing damage to the monster, while relying on the other classes to keep them alive. All assault characters can use the personal shield to stay alive.
HYDE
This minigun-wielding soldier focuses on damaging the monster. Besides his primary weapon - the minigun - he also has a flamethrower ready to incinerate opponents. Hyde's unique ability is to throw toxic grenades, which damages over time. In order to defend himself, Hyde can use the assault class ability personal shield in order to shield himself from harm.
MARKOV
Markov sports an electronic assault rifle as his standard weapon to attack from a distance. He also has a lightening gun to shock enemies in short range combat and arc mines to lay traps. Just like Hyde, Markov can use the personal shield ability as a defensive skill.
Medic Class
The medic class has the supportive function of keeping allies alive. To deal damage, the medic class mostly relies on long range weaponry such as sniper rifles. Every medic can use the healing burst ability to regenerate health.
LAZARUS
Lazarus is a medic with a stealthy silenced sniper rifle. As a secondary weapon, Lazarus owns his own "Lazarus device". His unique ability allows Lazarus to be even stealthier, using a personal cloak. To heal allies he can use his class ability, the healing burst. It is important to note, healing burst can be used even when the player is downed.
VAL
Val owns an armored-piercing sniper rifle which does damange and also places a marker on whatever beast she hits with it. This creates a weak spot that other players can see and aim for. Any shots that hit the weak spot does 2x damage. She can also heal her allies by using her secondary weapon, the medgun. Val's special ability comes in the form of a tranquilizer gun, which both slows and highlights the monster for easier tracking. Just like the other medic, Val can use healing burst, even when downed.
Support Class
Like the assault class, the support class can inflict nice amounts of damage. However, this class also allows players to help allies in other helpful way, preventing them from taking damage. All Support characters can use the cloaking field ability.
HANK
Hank's primary weapon is a laser cutter. His secondary weapon, the shield projector, is used to defend himself and his allies. Using orbital barrage, Hank can call for a heavy strike upon enemies. Similar to Bucket, Hank can activate a cloaking field.
BUCKET
Bucket uses a guided missile launcher to inflict significant amounts of damage. Sentry guns serve as the secondary weapon of the character. He can use UAV as his special ability. Like the rest of the support class, Bucket can activate a cloaking field.
Trapper Class
The trapper class has the important function of stopping the monster from escaping. The shared class ability of mobile arena creates a field which traps the monster and forces it to stand its ground.
GRIFFIN
Griffin is equipped with a gauss SMG. He also has a harpoon gun which attaches to its target. As a unique ability, Griffin can use sound spikes and activate a mobile arena to trap the monster.
MAGGIE
As a primary weapon, Maggie uses a machine pistol. As a secondary weapon, Maggie can lay Harpoon traps. Her unique ability is
a pet called "Daisy the pet trapjaw," a bloodhound that can sniff out the monster. In order to trap the monster inside a force field, she can use mobile arena.
